Very nice processing of the file! Your subtle use of duotone works well. Is that structure a teahouse or something else? I don’t recall seeing bronze bells hung in any of the garden buildings in the Japanese gardens I’ve visited.
Thanks. According to the garden’s website:
The structure in the northeast corner of the garden is called a ting, a Chinese pavilion. In Chinese architecture, the ting offers weary travelers a place to rest. Two moon gates frame views of the garden throughout the seasons.
Appears a little washed out. I like how the outline of the foreground element creates a strong delineation.
Anyone else seeing the head of a lizard in this photo?
Well, the landscape is vast out there and there’s a lot of aerial perspective in play. The far rim of the canyon landscape is about twenty miles away and the Henry Mountains on the horizon are about fifty miles distant.
@Danm: I always thought about Mayan frog depictions
Looks like a giant petrified prehistoric lizard.
Jess the border collie likes to chase (grey) squirrels, i think she’d have a shock there!
I have a feeling going in reverse might prove to me more of a challenge.
