There is something very satisfying about snowfall; whether it’s in the forest or in the city. Nature seems to conquer all…forcing you to see what she wants you to see - to feel what she want you to feel. Always humbling.

I live at the edge of a forest and am surrounded by trees. I love the snowfalls because the multitude of bare trees are grim and foreboding and foster sadness.

I thought I’d post a bunch of random shots for you to peruse. I find that the winter’s light makes everything so much more intense and distinct.
They are all cell phone photos, with all but one having been post processed. Everything else is as it was shot. I would encourage closer inspection for more clarity.
I do A LOT of meandering around Manhattan. These are a small sampling of the things I find interesting with regards to lighting, shadows, geometries, colors, textures, architectures, situations and just odd stuff. Enjoy!
