In February 1969, one of the most memorable moments in rock history occurred during a performance by Jimi Hendrix at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Hendrix was in the midst of his iconic set when an unexpected guest appeared on stage. Five-year-old Charlie Weber, who had been backstage with his parents, innocently wandered onto the stage, completely unaware of the electrifying atmosphere that surrounded him.

As Charlie approached, Jimi Hendrix bent down and calmly spoke with the young boy. Hendrix smiled and shared a brief exchange with Charlie, an interaction that captured the crowd’s attention.

After their short conversation, Charlie was escorted backstage, and Hendrix returned to performing.
