Playing DOP DSD on PWT using Toslink Glass Fiber

Tried an experiment today with my PWT and Mk2 Directstream DAC. I usually use i2s to connect these components but decided to try a Real Glass toslink cable. So many claim the limits of toslink to be 24bit 96khz. I successfully play without any issue DOP DSD DVD’s that I created from .dsf files. This shows that the bandwith of the transmitter in the PWT and the receiver used in the mk2 Directstream can pass 24 bit 176khz. This of course requires a jumper that is actually drawn glass rather than plastic. I thought this was worth mentioning to someone who may want to have and additional i2s input available or some other source.
