Dear Herd:
Please use “Add Reply” as your default for replying to a thread. It is located at the top and bottom of each and very page.
Limit the use of “Quote” to when you need to specifically include something a previous poster wrote for your reply to make sense to the reader. Do not simply click “quote” to reply to the thread above; it is completely unnecessary and wastes space. This is particularly annoying for those accessing the forum on mobile devices.
When quoting another, please also trim the quote to include only that text to which you are responding. Do not blanket copy the entire post unless it is absolutely necessary for context.
