The dac/streamer itself should have a good signal strength at its position. Let’s say and in my experience, half of the wifi strength as is visible in the wifi symbol isn’t good for higher resolution playback. For this reason, I currently prefer to have ethernet connected. At some point, I will ‘upgrade’ local wifi signal strength and see if that helps.
If you have an AM M-2 fuse, put it in PMG512 for a try. In my system I like it better with 512, it helps to smooth out the clean-cut detail sometimes gave me fatigue. But for PMG SACD the stock fuse was better than a M-1 (I do not have another M-2 fuse to try).
Yesterday I had a chance to listen at louder volume (above 85db). In that experience I preferred MU2, it sounded smoother and more layback. This may be its biggest strength.

Well, In a way it is, but PMG and MU2 just sounded better in many ways, easily.
In Ask Paul today “Convenience the enemy of Quality”, I have the exact feeling lately as Paul described in the video. The quality of the streaming has improved so much over the years, I can enjoy audiophile sound quality from either MU2 or PMG streamer. Most of the time I will use streamer because it is so convenient.
With the new PMG SACD T pairing with 512, the discs, especially SACDs that I played most often, still sound better than streaming (when using the same recordings). But I don’t do much critical listening unless I have a new cable to try.
If I play all my SACDs, that will take weeks. Then I will miss streaming too. Too many good choices, but that is a good problem to have.
I asked this question to the PS Audio AI. Is the answer accurate? Could somebody else please confirm on their unit?

This is likely intentional, treating those features as background functions that don’t count as “activity” for waking the display.
I couldn’t find specific documentation for this model, so I’m not sure if there’s a menu option to change this behavior. If you’ve noticed the display used to react differently to filter or phase changes, it could be a firmware or hardware issue, but most likely this is just how the unit is set up.

Tonight my younger daughter said “the system sounds a lot better than last week!”. Now that PMG has near 500 hours, she heard an improvement from a fully break-in PMG512, and I agree with her.
She even used an audiophile word to describe the improvement: smoother. I am impressed. Maybe there is hope an young audiophile arises from my family . No worry anymore, she can inherit my system instead of getting rid of them in a garage sale. 
Is it possible she picked up the vernacular from you? Perhaps when you complimented your wife about the filet mignon tasting “smoother” without the added dash of Lea&Perrins? :)
That is likely, and I am glad she understood the profound meaning of that word too.
The wine we had over the weekend was definitely smooth with great texture.
I have been having an issue when changing inputs from my SACD Transport via I2S to the PMG 512 Streamer, changing using the remote. After making the change, the streamer input is indicated on the DAC display and the light is immediately green but Qobuz connect cannot see the streamer. The only way I have found to fix this is to completely power down the PMG 512 DAC using the rear switch then powering back up. The Streamer then reinitializes, light goes from grey to red and then to green and then Qobuz connect sees the streamer. Not the way things should work.
I think others have had issue with qobuz connect. I had to reboot my 512 yesterday. first time in a while. Not sure why . .light was green but roon lost sight.
So, I am not the only one that experienced the streamer issue yesterday, I also needed to reboot PMG512 to find its streamer in ROON. I just turned the system on now, and everything works so far.
mine was late last night. But yeah not sure what happened. I also noticed all my icons in roon are little speakers. not the custom picture that roon made.
I am all so finding when switching inputs Qobuz dosnt recognize PMG streamer. Have to reboot Dac. Kind of a pain. Hope this gets fixed.
when you say switching inputs, you mean on PMG. Did you try dropping PMG in Qobuz connect and then trying to reconnect?
Yes switching inputs on PMG then going back to stream from Qobuz. Not sure what you mean by dropping PMG from Qobuz connect as PMG is no longer showing available to select unless i reboot PMG then appears again in Qobuz.
Well that answers that. My guess is that qobuz things its gone but PMG still holding that connection. I wonder if you turn off the PMG in Q Connect..say select the tablet or phone you are using and then swap inputs on PMG. see if that releases it properly. You should NOT have to do that, but just seeing if thats a work around and more info for PSA to fix.

You say you should not have to disconnect within Qobuz Connect (or a similar streaming source), but page 21 of the OMG 512 Manual says that you should do that. This instruction appears in the manual’s Troubleshooting so it is unclear if the manual writer expects this “trouble” to happen all of the time or some of the time. I don’t think one can call this a bug that PSA has to fix. Indeed the need to disconnect seems to me prompted by one of the features Qobuz Connect sells itself upon, i.e., that you can switch from one streamer source to another (e.g., your phone) to another (e.g., PMG) in the middle of playing a song,
I guess RTFM does pay off sometimes.
