Post-Covid live music

The more performance art the better and people will have to think more outside the box. This has been going on for ages. One of the best shows we saw last year was in a multi-storey car park in Peckham, and arts project going for about 10 years.


I’m listening to another Kalesnikov Chopin recording made at Wyastone. The property and Nimbus Records are run by a charity, but it is a much favoured recording venue in the Welsh countryside.

Jut saw this post about a socially distanced Covid recording done in the last few days!

It looks a bit odd. Hard day’s work for the recording engineers.

Better instrument separation if they are mult-tracking of course, although whether that is a good thing is a whole other debate…

And it is challenging for the performers to be separated to this degree.

yes i expect so, the “novelty” of this particular apocalypse is definitely wearing off.

My neighbour had an impromptu live jazz concert in his driveway.
The non wind instrument players had their masks and everyone observed distancing. Great addition to my dog walking adventures.
