I have Belden BAV 12 gauge cables feeding my Stellar GainCell DAC and PerfectWave SACD Transport and was ready to get a third for the P3. Checked out the Raven 10 gauge (on sale!) and it arrived today.
Right out of the box, not even warmed to room temperature, and it blew my mind. I had barely finished hooking it up wen my wife said, “Holy cr@p, that is incredible!” I was walking back to my seat when the FM Tuner played and the voice of the announcer was crisp, almost visual, and so well separated from the background. My wife is a retired speech/language pathology professor and knows the human voice–she was blown away. I was too.
Played a series of CDs/SACDs and everything is cleaner and crisper, better separation of instruments and a wider sound stage. The big thing is the clean sound and the accompanying richness.
Rabbit hole is looking so enticing.
