Ah, my school was chock full of Math BA’s taking the logic class in Philosophy. I did that too. But also added various advanced Economics seminars, getting top grades on exams without being conversant in the subject based on economists seem to like thinking of themselves as mathematicians…

I met my future wife in a 100-level Philo class, during which I asked her out on our first date (a Billy Joel concert).
We are still married nearly 39 years later.
She tolerates my Hi-Fi madness (loves to watch movies and football on the big rig which doubles as stereo and AV system).
The first CD I ever bought was BJ’s Greatest Hits Vols. I & II.
I still have the CD and “New York State of Mind” from the CD sounds great on the PSA DMP feeding the DS DAC MK I and ripped and streamed via Bridge II to the DS.
I would like to upgrade the Bridge II capability - possibly with the AirLens.
Ergo, this thread is now back on track.

I realize that communication regarding a product meanwhile still has a strong and wide peak in the phase of the initial idea and a short one after release, but a looong dip with occasional twitches inbetween.
This is just about the car industry, but multiply it by all the others objects of desire that use chips and you can get close to an answer.
My parents met in a bio-chemistry course at the University of Kansas.
My mother ended up graduating summa cum laude, my father a very solid B- student.

Ah yes, imagine that instead of not being able to release and sell an ~$2K AirLens you cannot get the chips for and automobile that sells for $50K or $60K or $70K…
