Now with Tidal announcement about support for direct streaming (https://flip.it/AdAX8h), I wonder whether my DirectStream with Bridge-II will support Tidal without Mconnect control app which is far from being perfect in terms of UI and stability.

I don’t believe so. I’ve heard nothing from the team about supporting it, so you’ll need to continue to pipe it through MConnect.
This is very unfortunate, because Mconnect spoils all the pleasure from DS, undeservedly.
