If I mistakenly hit the volume ‘up’ button on the pre-amp side of the PS Audio remote that came with my DSD DAC Mk1, it turns on the LG TV… any way to not have this happen?
Wonder if this will this interfere when I do get my PSA pre-amp?
(Also happens with the remote’s transport ‘open’ button)
My Sony 77” OLED is great, but the volume on remote cannot be programmed with B&W Formation Bar. The more annoying thing is my DishNetwork remote volume will shut down PSA P15 generator. For that I’m selling my P15, but no one is interested
P15 uses the same remote, and I don’t use it often now. I used to use the Clean function often when it was with the audio system. But with the TV this function does not appear to help much.
I used it to turn off individual components, and perform de-magnetizing sweeps, as well as to shut down the P15. Not essential, but the alternative was to crawl on my knees to read the tiny display and select options. IMO the remote is a nice convenience. Unfortunately its codes are not unique to PSA products.
Congratulations. You are now an official PS Audio Owner. Welcome to the Family. Consider this a rite of passage. Just grin and bear it. In addition to the LG “compatibility”. I have a non PS Audio/LG TV issue. When I raise or lower the volume on my Onkyo A/V Preamp while recording to my Tascam DA-3000. The Tascam stops recording
I had a similar problem with a Visio TV and GCD input selection. Annoying for sure but at not as annoying as a volume button would be.
I recall Paul responding in some way chalking it up to mfg not adhering to established standards.
