PST ouh la la

I just plugged in my trial PST, and right out of the box, my jaw dropped to the floor.
Same for my wife, who has golden ears.
Congrats PSA, hats off !

I think it’s going to be a long night of listening.
Time to take out the Audeze lcd-x :cowboy_hat_face:

One minor nit pick : hard to see the track number from the listening position.

Glad you’re already liking it fresh out of the box!

It seems that the old fixed LED displays were brighter, though smaller. Or is it our eyesight that needs fixing? If they give you binoculars with night vision, you will see the amp and the power plant instead of the display. LOL

Update: still sounds good but it’s skipping at least once on every cd :sob:.
Talking to my local dealer to get another unit …

Ouch! Sooo sorry to hear this. Hope all gets sorted quickly.

Thank you. Indeed disappointing, and I will have to wait a few weeks for another one to try. Oh well. Back to vinyl and streaming now.

My father gave me his Thorens TD160 B Mk 2, and, after a little tuneup, it’s as good as new and sounds great with its SME arm, Ortofon Quintet Black S and the Stellar phono. Talk about built for life ! Show me a CD player from that time that still works and sounds like that …

What transport did You use before?

DMP from PSA

…so that was stiff competition. I use a DMP myself (“the last transport, I would ever need”), and I start getting nervous.

You should .

The PST is a big upgrade over the DMP.
