used the latest USB driver for my PWD II to play music files via foobar2000 on Window 7 PC and JRiver 20 on Window 8.1 PC
on the window 7 PC, foobar2000 ran ok on initial run only. but the 2nd time on, it couldn’t recognize/nor play any song file. there was only partial driver installed, ps audio usb driver (ASIO). found ps audio usd driver(asio) was not installed in the PC’s ‘Hardware & Sound’
Then, I hard reset the PWDII using the back power switch, everything is restored inscluding the additional drivers
ps audio(asio) wasapi, kernel streaming, direct sound
on window 8.1 PC running JRiver 20
after installing the latest USB 2.0 driver, there was only the PS USB driver(ASIO) appeared in the Tools>Option>Audio Device
also found ps audio usd driver(asio) was not installed in the PC’s ‘Hardware & Sound’
JRiver couldn’t play or output any song file at any sampling rate. whether it’s the lowest 44.1 kHz to the DSD format.
tried hard reset the power on the PWD II, ps audio USB driver splitted into 3 more as the Window 7 PC
ps audio(asio) wasapi, kernel streaming, direct sound. JRiver could then play all the music files
In fact, the PWD II had another issue this morning and couldn’t lock into USB input, until the back power button was used
Could the above problem from the USB driver itsef? the incompatibility of PWD II with USB driver?
the PWD II is not compatible and clashed with foobar2000 and JRiver setup?
the PWD II itself has internal circuit problems?
