PWT & My Playlist website issues

I uploaded a new CD today (one I have never uploaded before) without any problems. Both the tracks and cover art appeared.

I tried deleting from my Playlist one of the CD’s that I was problems with, and then inserted it again into the PWD and now it will not upload the tracks or the album art. And now it does not appear on my Playlist at all. Weird.

On another CD that would give me tracks but no album art, I tried deleting the album cover from my Playlist and uploading a smaller size file, and that did not yield any positive results either. Still no album art.

Just posting this information so that any others with the same problem with be aware of what did not seem to resolve the issues.

pesgas, your experience is exactly same as me. devil_gif

There is a problem, one we recognize. It has to do with the servers and their interactions with the PWTs. It’s a big project to fix but we’re looking into it now.

That is goods news, Paul. I’m sure you guys will figure it out.

Just curious if any progress has been made on the PWT album data and cover art issues. I know everyone’s crazy busy, but just wondering it there’s a projected timeline.

Thanks!

Finally I got a mail from Alex on 13 Oct and know about the problem.

I know Alex is working on the database for fixing. I think Alex will bring us good news shortly.blush_gif

Is there any progress on fixing this issue? I still cannot upload the album art to my PWT.

A few code bugs have been found and corrected. Testing here at PS Audio has shown improved reliability of downloading cover art that has been edited on the My_Playlist section of the PS Audio website to the PWT.

One thing that can’t be corrected by code changes on our web server is if the data stored on the SD card in the PWT has been corrupted for some reason. In this situation, the PWT controller and the web server both think they have done their job, but the data on the SD can’t be properly interpreted by the display. A test for this condition is to insert a fresh SD card in the PWT and load the CD again. I don’t know how prevalent this is, but I suspect it contributes to some of the issues some of you are experiencing.

Dave

Over the last week or so I’ve noticed a marked improvement in My Playlist and my PWT’s ability to download tracks and cover art. And My Playlist can now use the ’ (apostrophe/single quote) so you don’t have to use the ` (grave accent) for apostrophes any more!

It’s not perfect yet, but it seems far better than just a few weeks ago. I will keep reporting issues to PS as I find them, but for now it’s basically functional!

To all at PS, thank you for all your efforts so far.

I put a CD in to my PWT last night for which I had never been able to get the right cover art or track titles. This was probably the CD with which I had the most problems, and sometimes I got some very strange cover art or track titles (if I got anything at all). I was very surprised last night to see that the album art and track titles loaded perfectly. I will have to check some other problem CD’s I had, but it seems quite clear that some significant progress has been made. This is very exciting.

They have made progress and continue to do so. Thanks for noticing and letting us know.

not only does my PWT seldom ever find cover art it is the same with the title and track information. I am not computer literate enough to figure out how to add either to My Playlist!
