What a shame - 80 years old
A sad day. A sad passing. He was one of the most well rounded musicians of the era–any era, really.
I liked him.
Please no stories that he was a bad tipper or he turned his porch light off on Halloween or…
RIP RR. You left us some good stuff.
same day as Jerry

Very sad indeed. Love “Music from Big Pink” especially. What a bummer.
RIP Mr Robertson. Too much death of family, friends, and life influences lately…please stop, or at least slow down for a while.
couldn’t agree more
A really great musician from a time when great bands had longevity. It seems like only yesterday I was sitting in a huge palace of a movie theater watching Scorsese’s The Last Waltz.
The Band and Little Feat were favorite beach party, bar band music during my high school years.
Truly one of the greats. A sad day indeed.
An important part of what got me through High School during the 1980’s when the music of the day was absolute Schyte.
Thank you to The Band !
We still have Garth Hudson. A Canadian Keyboard player who is up there with other Canucks like Oscar Peterson IMHO.
Ironic that my last 2 buys both had “Band” albums. RIP Robbie…
Not knowing who he was I spent a few minutes looking him up. Nothing disturbing came immediately to the fore.
I think you are safe.
