Raspberry Pi and Directsream MK1

PS Audio claims their Directstream’s I2S imput provides the highest sound quality, I read somewhere, which is why I thought pursuing that option would be best. However, my Raspberry Pi streamer has an Allo Digione Signature hat, with coax/bnc out (providing the best signal quality), while another hat option exists, PI2AES, which provides an I2S digital output that is optimized, as I understand it, for the Directstream dac. However, if I research a comparison, it seems that the SQ’s of both the Digione Signature and PIA2S 2.0 Pro Audio Shield are very similar, almost indistinguishable from each other. As I already have the Allo Digione Signature hat, the only motivation to move to the PIA2S hat is if there’d be a noticeable improvement in SQ and so this is why I’m posting, wanting to know if it’s worthwhile, in my circumstances, to pursue the PIA2S I2S option, I mean from the perspective of the PS Audio, Directstream database?

Thank you
