Thank you, @Paul - Iāll look out for my emails. Itāll be tricky with the time-zone difference but Iāll try to reply as I can. Iāll be in the OR all day tomorrow.
Regards, Phil
I left my unit unplugged awhile prior to executing Calebās advice from PS support. You may wish to try that then see if it changes where there waiting for the delayed solenoid clicks.
I have a p15 that does the same thing. I live in the wilds of New Hampshire USA, frequent power outages. The 30 second outage before the backup power kicks in drives the p15 nuts. Every outage I have to go through the wait for the click, hit the standby button done. Works every time.
Remember, these units have microprocessors of some sort, which do not take kindly to having the power pulled out from under them. The key to it all is waiting until after the second relay hits before hitting the standby.
May the audio Gods shine their ever loving light on you.
Thanks @Vmax
The first time this happened to me, I couldnāt hear the solenoid but re-tried the next day after it had been powered down overnight and then I heard it and got it to re-set. I could try that this evening. Iām about to head to work for a big day. PS Audio support (Steve) has sent me instructions. My display doesnāt go dark after āInitializingā shows up on the screen. I will likely have to open it up (PITA) if second attempt doesnāt work.
Regards,
Phil
Thanks @gthiel
Power outages are a pain. This never happened to my P10 and is only the second time for my P20 which Iāve had some years. Maybe an accumulation of power events. Anyway, Iāll try again tonight- Iāve pulled the plug at the wall in the meanwhile.
Cheers,
Phil
Success!! I left it unplugged at the wall from this morning and then tried again this evening. I heard the solenoid click and it worked ![]()
Thank you so much, @Vmax !
Great to hear it worked. It was just a hunch. No wonder it works for PSA service so well. All units s must be unplugged for shipping. It is just the right combination of events and timing.
Great. Iām glad you were able to get running again.
Just a shout-out to PS Audio - very prompt emails to me from support team and Caleb. Much appreciated, in addition to this fantastic forum family!!
Everything is up and running perfectly - Iām getting BACCH installed by Edgar Choueiri in the next half hour. Woohoo!
That will be another very enlightening moment!
Iāll have to wait til tomorrow now⦠the internet is slow where I live (12.81 Mbps this morning), and when we got to the 3GB download, it was going to take almost half an hour, and he has other clients scheduled!! Maybe I need to look at satelliteā¦
If you have Edgar send you a copy of the BACCH manual and read through it carefully a couple of times you should be able to get a feel for the system and do a few room sweeps just for fun.
You will immediately see how much of a difference the software makes to your listening enjoyment.
Sadly the B4m has no manual. But the Audio Junkie videos are out there now and cover interface well.
Ahh. I have the ADIO and it has a really good manual.
