RMAF 2015

#1

Well, I’m committed. I have my hotel and flights booked for this year. Anyone else thinking of going?

Paul, Ted, (hopefully Bascom and Arnie), see you all there.

#2

Well, I thought I’d bump this along. @adminpaul, what do you have planned for the PS Audio room this year? Can’t wait to see you and the rest of the gang again.

#3

Yup. We have a new big room in the main tower–the one to the far right side of the hotel as you face the registration desk. I don’t remember what floor.

We’ll be playing the big YG Acoustic loudspeakers with dual BHK Monoblocks, each fed from a P10. The new BHK preamp will drive the system and cabling is exclusive MG Audio Design. Should be a heck of a system.

Hope to see you there.

Yeah, that’s the big room right off the elevators (IIRC) on the 11th floor.

YG speakers!!! Which ones?

#6

Promising to see that the preamp prototype will be used. This strengthen the chance of making the timeline for launch.

I just realized - that’s Jim Salk’s old room! That’s where he and Frank held court for the last number of years. Hmm, I knew Jim and Frank were not going to be there this year, but I’m a little saddened that one part of my equipment family moved in to where another used to be. I know one has nothing to do with the other, it just seems weird.

#8

I am not sure who these people are you’re referring to - but just for clarity sake, this used to be our room for years before them.

#9

Fair enough. I stand historically corrected.

Salk Sound and Audio by Van Alstine, BTW. They were the recent tenants the last few years.

#10

Yep, PS’ residency in that room pre-dated that of Frank and Jim. Sorry they won’t be attending.

We will also have a table in the lobby right by the main entrance where you can listen to and play with Sprout. You’ll be able to register for a free Sprout–one will be given away each day of the show (“You need not be present to win!!”–though you will need to be present to register, of course).

You’ll also be able to buy Sprout t-shirts–and Sprout itself, at extra-special RMAF pricing!

See you next week!

Cheers, Bill
