"Roon Five"

Wife is away, listening to a lot of music. If the above fits that description.
Labyrinthitis I actually listened to twice in a row. The second song is called “Suffer” and it is a bit rough. But everything else is just bat shoot crazee. June, and the title song are pretty odd.

My friends call this sort of thing “Al Music”.

Did I tell you about this:

My purchasing of “physical media” continues…

ya never know what you’ll find in the used bins. That’s why we play the game, am i right?

Discogs order arrived.

That Jim Lauderdale album cover art is really cool.

Enjoy.

I’ve seen him a few times, and he’s such a great songwriter and performer.

Songs on this album were co-written with Robert Hunter, which makes it even cooler. Couldn’t find it on Tidal/Qobuz, so I had to get the CD.

All the better, assuming it means a bit more of the proceeds actually benefit the artist(s)…

I prefer to own physical copies of my favorite music anyway.

Wet Leg!

My baser self could not resist the name of the release and a picture of a “Catholic School-skirt” on the cover.

I listened to most of the album in the car via Qobuz, while running errands today. A guilty-pleasure for sure, with come catchy tunes – good car music. Don’t see myself sitting down in front of the “Big Rig” to just listen to it though.

 :man_shrugging:

I know what you mean. I did listen to it on the big rig after some very serious Classical and other than the first song I quite enjoyed it. It reminds me of The Breeders - Last Splash. I loved that one back in the day…

my record store is too conveniently located, some might say.

Interestingly, that SCI - Untying the Not CD i picked up includes a bonus disc of live and unreleased tracks. Discogs says the set is worth $30. I got it for $2.95.

Who said this hobby isn’t profitable?

Like you I just pick the ones with goofy covers.

My hat is off to you, Al.

You consistently post artists I have never heard of, which, in turn, causes me to do some exploring.

Keep up the good work. Emoji
