This is why I love my Roon/Qobuz/Tidal subscriptions…

Somebody posts some reference to some artist, group or record that I have never heard of and I type in the name of the artist or recording in the Roon search bar and boom - I am listening to Golden Smog’s “Weird Tales” album and its first track To Call My Own.

Pretty good stuff, actually - enjoying it as I type these words.

Well, truth be told, that’s roon’s interpretation of the U2 - Boy cover. The one I bought is less armpitty.

the Sister Rosetta Tharpe album really is something great.

And a bit of trivia: The first track off the ELO album (Fire on High) was used for the CBS Sports Spectacular theme song back in the 70’s.

Against my better judgement I stopped playing CD’s and LP’s and tried Roon once again. I took my Pink Faun out of the system and I now am relying on the Grimm MU1 to serve and stream Roon all by itself. It seems nice.

This could be my new favorite:
