I have been intrigued with upgrading digital power supplies for a bump in streaming performance. On recommendation, I bought a iFi Elite power supply for my AT&T router. The router has a 2 pin mini din power input. The Elite has the standard barrel connector. I have looked at many sites for an adapter. Nothing.
Attached are photos of the router and mating cable. Thought one of you computer geeks might have a source or solution. Thanks!
Cut and splice?
Last resort. Bare wire to barrel connector may not be easy.
I was thinking to cut both cables leaving the connectors in place and then solder or mechanical splice with polarity in mind.
Have you asked to iFi customer service?
Yes. No dice.
How about Parts Express? They might be able to help.
I took a few minutes to try and find the connector type without any luck. If it were me, I’d buy a replacement adapter (Eps48r0-16 for sale | eBay), and cut out the connector.
Tried them and DigiKey.
Understood. Might be only option.
Have seen similar. I’ll check them out. Thanks!

Have you checked Ghent Audio?
Might not be worth it if having to splice the wires. The gain might’ve been offset by additional solder and contact boundraries. I’d looking at return the Elite or move the Elite down stream for your auido grade switche if you have any.
The PSU furtherest away from the streamer has the least impact in sound in my experience.
I’d contact Dr.Sean Jacobs at https://www.custom-hifi-cables.co.uk/
He can certainly solve your issue with a cable/connector or even high grade PSU able to fit your router. And yes, I heard improvements from his power supply feeding my router. Just only upgrading the DC cable with Mundorf silver-gold wires.
straight wire, I have the same router, good thing I didn’t get the urge to upgrade the power supply …. I certainly would be interested in knowing if you found a clean solution.
I’ve sent the iFi power supply back. I’ve spent way too much time trying to find an adapter and I don’t want to butcher and splice connections to come to find that there was no improvement.
The router feeds a Muon Pro filter. I hope it is doing the job.
Thank you all for the kind assistance!
