Silversmith Audio Fidelium Cables

Are you selling the custom styrofoam cable holders?

Who has a 3d printer? Cha Ching! :money_mouth_face::moneybag::dollar:

One more question are you running a ground wire off your amps?

Yes, I’m running a ground wire to the amps and other gears. The only equipment I don’t have the ground wire is PZ. I figure I will wait until I’m familiar with the “new” sound before I try the ground wire.

Oh, Jeff has a neat idea on the lifter which quickly put my idea of sales in the toilet. But you probably knew already since it is related to 3D printing.

I had a discussion with Jeffrey yesterday on his ground plug theory. I’m not doubting it but…..

Since you have the ear of Jeff and Paul H., I wonder if Paul H. recommends running chassis grounds to a common point…that big ground lug on the PowerZone has to there for some reason.

Good question!

You didn’t really believe the Fidelium would unseat the Sakra V17 now did you?
Are you returning the Fidelium XLR interconnects?

Does not styrofoam hold static electricity? Can current running through your cables compound it? Just asking!

I have not experienced any sound difference when I just lay them flat on top of the blocks. I only insert the edge 1/2” into the block anyway.

No and no. I will explain and go into more depth in the future. I don’t want to be labeled the person who claims he found the cable that dethroned the Stealth Sakra V17’s. As far as the Fidelium speaker (ribbon) cable goes I will make sure I’ve properly installed the binding post adapters and that I have connected them properly before commenting further.

A friend and I swapped spkr cables for a couple days. I just got mine back.
We both agree that the Fideliums are nice but not even close to my Front Rows.
That said, the Fideliums are great value for money.

Care to elaborate? My Silversmith Fidelium ribbon SC are breaking in. Initial impression is they do little harm, possibly adding a bit of mid bass warmth and bass fullness. Or it could be my head cold. An XLR is incoming for trial.

I and my friend with Accuphase/Esoteric/Magico felt the Front Row offered a much more refined, detailed sound with more leading edge definition. Instrument images are more well developed dimensionally and sound more (sorry in advance for this word) “real”.

Thanks Ron!

I believe I feel the same way with the Fidelium speaker ribbon vs my AQ Thunderbird cables. They are a great value but fell a little short. The XLR seems to me a little more promising. The Fidelium speaker cables held back the majesty of the Sakra V17’s. I was swapping between the Fidelium XLRs and the V17’s trying to figure out how the Fidelium XLR was so close to the Sakra with the Fidelium speaker cables in place. Once I reconnected the AQ Thunderbirds the gap between the Fidelium XLR and the Sakra widened by a very large margin advantage Sakra V17.

Fidelium interconnects and speaker cables have a certain synergy together that is hard to beat. Are they the best out there? Of course not because I don’t believe there is a set of cables would be the “best” for every system. I also believe one needs to spend 10 times more to find something better, I really do.

Between the IC and SC, I now think their interconnects maybe even better than their speaker cables. IC sounded more neutral and offers more detail, SC could sound a bit warmer on certain music.

The bad news, in my case, is that now I know there’s potential upgrades in speaker cables in the future and it will cost me 10 times more, at least.

Agree! Great interconnect.

I think you can find happiness at 2 times more! 2 times more x 2 if you biwire.
If you are referring to the observations I made remember the interconnect was bettered by XLR that costs a minimum of $27k more list. Thats Diablo 333 money!

Two times? That is hardly worth the effort. Okay, I really means is that I want to replace Fidelium SC with a new set costs 10 times more, and make sure it will sound obviously better than Fidelium too.

I am set for IC and lost my interest in 17LE, Sakra Gold sounded much smoother (just from the pronunciation) and will beat 17LE too, even with the price of Gold/oz unit cost per inch for the new Stealth.
