So very pumped-Genesis box sets complete

I had the three core box sets, including one with the SACD versions (“Trick of the Tail” through “Duke”). Amazon had “The Movie Box” on sale for half price which arrived today, so I can dump my old VHS copies of their concerts at last, and I finally found a seller who had the “Genesis Live-1971-2007” set for less than the cost of a kidney.

While I don’t love the remixes on all of them, the books that come with them, and the CDs of rarities make them totally worth it. One even has an essay from Jeremy Clarkson.

Had to share the excitement. Genesis is the best.

You can get a roll listening to Genesis. Several albums at a time.

“Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne…”

I have my PRECIOUS. At last I have my precious.

I am totally jealous!

I need to resume the process of acquiring ALL of Genesis and Phil Collins albums. Simply great stuff and glad to have found someone else who shares in the same enthusiasm as I!

Phil Collins is coming to concert in Tampa in Sept, and I am going to make sure that I attend, even if it means maxing out my credit card! My girlfriend has seen Both Genesis and Phil in concert back in the 80’s. I’ve never seen him in concert. I’m making it my mission darn it!

Thanks. They’re the best. Good luck in your quest. Now I need to complete my Brand X collection and figure out where I put my “Wicked Lady Soundtrack” by Tony Banks.

What do you think of the 5.1 versions?
I’m from the Gabriel Genesis era so my favourites are the albums up to ‘The Lamb’. I think Suppers Ready in 5.1 is absolutely brilliant.

The SACD 5.1 versions sound incredible on all the box sets. The SACD box sets are worth seeking out over the DVD versions IMHO.

Agreed, I’m in the UK so got the SACD versions by default…
