Speaker cable

Thank you very much for the great suggestions. What are the best retailers that sell the Pro-ject audio cables?

It depends on where you live. Search on the net. German highend has the same one in black.

Hi Dans, have you considered Iconoclast cables? We have a dedicated thread here on the forum with over 5k posts. We allow you to audition cables in your home with absolutely no risk involved. The cable itself is 100% produced in the USA at the Belden plant in Richmond, IN. The assemblies are custom cut to the “exact” length, terminated with your choice of connectors, tested and shipped from Seattle, WA.

In order to be able to give better recommendations, length, sound preferences and, above all, the price you are willing to pay must be stated.

OP wrote: “I’m looking for speaker cable to connect my Sprout 100 to Heco Aurora 300 speakers. Hoping to get a quality product at a lower price point.“

Seems pretty straight forward to me…

FYI/FWIW.

What cables would you recommend?

Not sure who you are addressing…

I was responding to @Stier2704 and provided several suggestions for your consideration earlier in this thread.

Regards.

Which cable comes into question depends on how much it may cost. You haven’t mentioned the length you need or your price yet. You can get a Project connect it LS from just €6/meter. The DNM-Reson has been a price breaker for many years, similar to the Pro-ject, a full core cable with speed and excellent spatial representation. Even many more expensive cables have a hard time topping this.

new kryo !

Hello scott1, I actually meant the person looking for a cable. I think he wants a cable that is good and ideally doesn’t cost anything. He hasn’t mentioned a price or the required length of the cable yet. Or I missed it. If the price is not a deciding factor, I would recommend the cable I currently use. Furutech DSS-4.1. But the project is unbeatable in terms of price. I like to use it for internal speaker wiring.

The DNM reson has been a cable that has excellent resolution for decades. Now there is an improved version of cryo. I heard the normal DNM withTannoy speakers at a dealer last year. It had better tonality and presentation than an Audioquest Robin Hood. Guitars sounded much more realistic with the DNM. I would recommend the new DNM Kryo. There probably won’t be anything better for the price and it should cope well with the smal speakers.

Iconoclast makes great cables including speaker cables. I am using their interconnects now.

Hello Donald, I also think that the Iconoclast cables have a good design. In terms of price, however, these probably exceed the value of the rest of the system. Or is there already a model for a handful of dollars? Greetings Andreas

What unique about Iconoclast cable is that different level of cables have the same structural design, only the material is different. As I remembered their lower level is reasonably priced.

Even their top level cables are reasonable priced. Awhile ago Luca did a XLR comparison between AQ Dragon/Firebird and Iconoclast UPOCC Gen.2 4x4. We both ended selecting Iconoclast. He saved me money that time since I was seriously considering Firebird.

You can also look at the Belden BAV lineup. They are similar construction to the Iconoclast series but with a lower cost build.
The basic Blue Jeans line is also a good value line.
Send them an email or give them a call. They are always willing to help in any way they can.

I second Baldy’s suggestion for Blue Jeans Cable as a value proposition. It should be just fine with a Sprout while not breaking your budget.

I have provided a link and suggest the 10 White with bananas into the Sprout, and large spades for speakers.

Yet another vote for Blue Jeans cables for your Sprout amp. You can order the exact length you’ll need for your setup. Remember that the gauge of wire (AWG) means that the larger the number the thinner the cable, and vice versa.

I know, Lol!

This is too much like the US presidential debates where the interview panel wants candidate’s answers to specific questions, but instead of answering them they talk about what they want to address to make them appear to be the best candidate.

Speaking of which, there’s one tomorrow. I expect the same ole.

Sorry to go off topic!

@weedeewop , @NipperDog

That is exactly the way I have both of our Sprout 100’s setup.
