STEALTH Power Cords

That choice is up to you. What works for me, what works for the other guy might not be your cup of tea. I recommend the 2020 for the Gryphon Powerzone. Results may vary. I’m sure the 2020 would be great for PS Audio regenerators also. You yourself must find the truth.

That’s a good looking cable.

I have three Furutech Project V1s. The cable from the wall to the power strip had the greatest effect. It has a truly natural tonal quality. It extends the soundstage downwards, giving the impression of larger speakers with better bass reproduction. The high-frequency range is very pleasant, detailed, but not over-excited like some other high-resolution cables. The midrange is wonderful. I have no criticisms. It shows no flaws in the mono power amplifiers, but it’s less noticeable there. Perhaps a waste in this area. I also have two Audioquest Dragon Sources. These are resolving and accurate, but lack size and naturalness. I’m now looking for a replacement for an Audioquest Dragon for my preamp. I’ll either swap the V1 for the power strip with a Stealth 20-20 or replace the Dragon with a Stealth Cloud Grande. I’ll probably only be able to determine which option is better by trial and error. I can recommend the Furutech Project V1. I might even borrow a V1 for a complete loom. I was thinking about getting a Stealth audio cable, though, since the users here like it so much.
The wow factor in the review for the V1 project could be due to the fact that no single strength is emphasized. The V1’s sound is perceived as natural, without a “wow” effect. Its strength lies in its balanced reproduction from top to bottom. It has no limitations, leaving no room for criticism.

All I know is that Stealth and FRR needles (power cables) were stuck in my arm this week, and I’m now going through withdrawl, lol.

Well, all I can say is that Dream 2020 sounds natural, and with a “wow” factor.

At least somebody likes it. lol

Donald, you’ve currently swapped the Stealth Dream 20-20 for the Zenwave. What’s the wow factor compared to the Zenwave or your previous Dragon? The MU2 is supposed to sound very resolving. My Marantz Link 10n roughly matches the description of the Stealth Dream 20-20 according to ChatGPT. The description of the Dragon, which I’m currently using, goes a bit in the other direction: transient resolution versus smoother transients, which might result in a more neutral sound. My thought is that the Dream 20-20 in combination with the Marantz Link 10n leans too much in the same direction. Then perhaps a Cloude Grande instead of the Dragon as a source for the Marantz would be an option. Then the other Paul just tried out the Dream 20-20 and the Cloude Grande. Then I’m wondering which one works better in my case. Maybe the Dragon isn’t a bad choice for my system. But after Al said that Audioquest is the McDonald’s of cables, I can’t stop wondering whether the Dragon is a bottleneck in the system and whether another cable would perform better. Stealth cables are so highly praised here in the forum.

Best regards, Andreas

You are making me work hard on a relaxing weekend. The “wow” factor was I messing with you because I never heard the Furutech V1 and I do not know how a cable without “wow” factor could sound. Is it sounding boring? I hope not  Both D2020 and ZenWave are sounding wonderful in my system. They do sound warmer than Dragon (or should I say Dragon sounding COOLER for lacking a right term), and they also sound more engaging than Dragon. Dragons (I have three) sound more analytical and drier when using more than one. My system sounded a bit boring when they were powering MU2, and switches. When Takshaka replaced Dragon at MU2, the improvement was not subtle. When D2020 replaced ZenWave at PZ, I felt it showcases PZ’s strength more.

Your system is so different from anyone I know in this forum, it is impossible to know if any of these cables would have the same result in your system. All I know is both Gryphon and MU2 work well with Stealth, and I also know two or more Stealth may work even better. Therefore, I plan to get another one, and C.G. seems to be the preference for MU2.

My bet is that ZenWave will do better, even possible wins over D2020, in a pre or sources. It is remarkably close to Stealth. If I use Luca’s point chart, both will be in high 9s, and Dragon will be a low 8s. That is how much inferior Dragon compares to either one in my system. Then again, in a different system (such as tube pre/amp) Dragon could be a better choice.

No matter how many reviews or any of our comments implied here, no one can really tell you if Stealth will be a better choice than Furutech V1. Unfortunately, that is what you are really seeking. I am afraid you know the only answer is from your trying.

Maybe the best answer is buy a full loom on Ali Express and see what works best.

I’m practicing golf now, and suddenly I realize your issue of none “wow” factor. Both NCF cables and plugs have their “cool side of calm” sonic signature. Guess what, Dragon is similar too. You may have too many of them in the system.

Dragon will do a better job in a tube or warm sounding system. So I shouldn’t trash it.

Yes, either Stealth or Takshaka will inject “spark” into your system. Zenwave will not work with its i50 NCF plugs .

Back to golf.

I’ve had a full loom of Dragon power cables and now have a full loom of Stealth power cable cables, with the addition of Stealth speaker and interconnects to complete the system.
My reaction to your comparison request is simple.
The Stealths equaled or beat the Dragons in any category.
As for variation within the Stealth line, specifically the Dream 2020, Cloud Grande, and CGLE, they all reveal the music, just present it in different fashion.
This is unit dependent and will vary on the unit it is
hooked up to. I have the 2020 on power products and CGLE on source components. I have not swapped these positions, but some, like Luca and Fro, have. I may try some day.
I keep harping on the fact that, especially with cables, that are component and system dependent, that you try them for yourself and that is the only way you will know.
Constant opinion gathering may help you toward a direction but it’s your decision where you will end up.

Thanks for your feedback. I’ll see if I can get a Dream 20-20 or Cloude Grande to try.

ADP did the same. He now has the gist of what the cables do. However, a word of caution.
Any new and better link in the system can reveal other cable or component shortfalls. I bet
ADP is reevaluating many pieces as we discuss.

Yep. Am rethinking my primary preamp and power amp at the moment. Am thinking of purchasing a Stealth CG LE power cable for the MU2 and a Stealth 2020 power cable for the PowerZone.

Am also thinking of switching my main preamp to the MU2 and switching to my 27 year old CJ tube power amp as my main power amp.

I also had the Infinity control box in the signal path when trying this combination this past week, and this combo is, by far, the musically satisfying and magical combination I desire. It achieves the cleanness I want, along with the sweet tonal qualities that can only come from tubes.

The word Stealth is starting to drain all my energy.

It is stealing the show of ultra-expensive cables here for sure, I expect the prices will increase by next year.

I hear that. I try to only state my comparative reality in these evaluations. Everyone else’s mileage WILL vary.
Similarly, my gripe here is cheerleading a product without personal experience with it.

To their discredit, Stealth’s product marketing, pricing and model differentiation is much to be desired.
An engineering driven approach that seeks the ultimate statement, but you are not quite sure what you are buying or if a limited version is in the wings.
There might be intriguing back stories but I like to know what I am getting.
That said, I’m still a disciple based on what I hear. Fickle me.

I wouldn’t fret too much, as the Audience provides a standing ovation, especially the Front Row.
