I emailed today. Reply listed supplier issues due to Covid-19. “hope to have it resolved within the next few weeks” with no estimate for new shipment date. Oh well! At least I have given them any money yet.
If you pay by CC they don’t charge the card until the equipment is shipped.
I am sorry for no one getting back to you. Did you contact us and did not get a response? We got swamped by the orders for the CD (yeah, I know, sounds lame) and the team is struggling to get all those orders input into the system by hand. We’re trying to rethink how that works. Every internet order has to be hand transferred and entered into the main system. When we have a few hundred orders that’s not too bad, but when they ago into thousands in a day or two it’s a mess.
If you email me directly I can find out where in the queue for P3s you are.
I too would like to know. Order #1103507. My email is on the order, not sure where to find your direct email?
He’s paul@psaudio.com
Right. We certainly oversold the P3 on the special. Wanted to make sure everyone got in that wanted in. We’re doing what we can to get transformers delivered from our supplier but then they are having trouble etc. I’ll ask if we can maybe do an update letting people know.
Guess I can take my time looking for a power cord.
I think it’s very important that you keep your quality and take your time to produce it and don’t push it to hard so you loose quality in your production or supplier delivery. I have seen this before when you try to produce more than you should and you loose quality. I have audio equipment at home that’s easy to spot e.g. the soldering. I’m waiting also on a P3 but and I don’t care if it takes an extra month or two as long as you and your supplier keeps the quality.
Like Paul mentioned, we are missing an integral part. If it weren’t for the dang transformer, we’d be able to ship out a big batch of them. We are very picky about our transformers, and we REALLY like the one we’re using in the P3. When this supplier completely cuts off communication for a few months, it really puts us in a bind. Do we start looking for a different supplier? How much more is reasonable to pay for a different transformer? The last I heard, we are back in communication with the original supplier. PHEW! The problem is, now they are playing catch up. We don’t have a solid answer from them, but the good news is they are back up and running. Now, it’s the waiting game…
How do you verify your transformers quality? Will you take an extra look on the quality on the transformers when your supplier are playing catch up?
I too want the same attention to quality. When I placed my order on 05/20 I was given an estimated ship date of Mid-June. This estimate was put forth despite the knowledge that the supplier of an “integral” part had cut off communication a “few months before”. I can “handle the truth”. Please do not tell me what I want to hear.
The components are tested before they’re shipped to us, and then again tested when we get them. It’s in the suppliers best interested to not send dodgy quality to us. I don’t want to say testing the PPs is easy, but it is easy to decide whether or not they pass or fail. If their output isn’t measuring to our spec, they go back to R&D.
I know, this is the nightmare that is giving ETAs. Damned if you do, and really damned if you don’t.
Under promising and over delivering is usually alright with people. Under promising with ETAs when we truly have no idea when they’ll ship it dang hard to do.
The “I don’t know” answer when asked when it will ship doesn’t usually go over well either.
Sadly I don’t know is the most honest truth I can give you. I was very happy to hear in our meeting last Wednesday that Ops is in contact with them again. Let’s hope they put PS Audio near the top of their priority list.
FWIW my business is still waiting patiently for material promised for mid March delivery. The C19 bug has shaken up the supply chain worldwide.
I ordered my P3 the first day of the sale,(MAY) arrived in about 4 days.
My P3 arrived on June 2nd after a three week wait. I’m super-pleased with my purchase and I can tell you guys that it’s well worth the wait.
what did it bring to your system?
When I first connected everything, I honestly wasn’t very impressed, but after a few days things really improved. I noticed deeper, cleaner bass and the soundstage became much wider. Everything just sounds much cleaner now and the vocals and woodwinds sound more natural, rather than sounding kind of ‘steely’.
i ordered one during the sale, did you just leave it on for a while to get it burnt in?
I’ve not turned mine off since I received it, a good 6 weeks now.
