Stellar phonostage, totaly useless

oh well, my car is 2002 and start with any key or a screwdriver!

it does not cost much to ad a switch on this priceless musical beauty when building it.

yup MM, is easy one.

Power surge in the north are more often in my place! Wood stove in the winter, is more reliable than electricity!

I have a piano, it is more reliable than HiFi, but I invest in HiFi and didn’t invest much in learning it! My son did, but it didn’t put money in tha bank!

Of course, everything is relative! Especially, when they let kid and dog play with tha remote! it create a relative problem with my phono!

MC is another ball game! so a mm/mc switch, a good ad on ad another switch for the MC curve.

And this phono, hasn’t have a plan B, without the remote!

Yup a learning remote, I will find!

Why I change cart, because I Can and why purchase a priceless phono, because it gave you the maximum of each cartridge you have!

the sound is so amazing, that so far, on this side, the phono is unbeatable, but on management side, yup could be improve!

Until, i found something better, it is a keeper! and now I know master switch in the back, is also a reset switch!

And sorry for the “click” title, but at least, I get attention and maybe next update version, will resolve this! in 2020, some complain about it and 6 years later, that has not been solved!

Also, already have a sprout, that run when we have a power surge on one of my UPS.

It is fun to listen music noise free, when there is a power surge! no RFI and no electrical pollution, but it is only good for 6 hours! so I have 4 of them!

Anyway, remote work for now, so will resume my cart swap, when listening genre music!

Last time, I have purchase sort of product that work remote only or cell phone only, it was a beautiful Kef gloss red with the coaxial driver. It work for a week and crash at the first update! then totally useless! They gave me my money back and manufacture take it back for diagnostic!

Since, I have try to avoid those all in one dependency!

Today, I reread, the manual:

you absolutely need the remote, because:

  • it has 2 inputs for 2 turntables
  • one for the MC, that I will stop swapping cart
  • one MM, that I will swap cart

to do that, you need the remote!

So what I need to do is to build a board for my 12inch tonearm Jelco with a removable head shell!

Fantastic machine with a Achilles heel remote!

Strange rhetoric, when you manage a turntable, everything is analogue and manual! but setup is digital by the remote!

Anyway, still think, it is one of the best phono-stage on the market, it is my 24th one! but the choice of remote handling is one of the weirdest choice made in HiFi!

Enjoy

If you search “Stellar Phono Remote” you will find multiple threads discussing the remotes functionally and performance
