Swiss Digital Fuse Box, the fuse reinvented

Are you certain that you’ve specified a soft blow ‘T’ equivalent SDFB? - I imagine that one designer’s T may not be the same as another designer’s T. I have a couple of P10s and a Stellar P3 - the Stellar P3 (and an APC BBU UPS) often spots changes of voltage that other equipment is happy to ignore, maybe the SDFB’s T is faster acting than a conventional fuse (or has not been configured properly).

Perhaps a look at the back of the PS15 will help. Next to the input is a small white button. This is a 15-amp thermal fuse that protects the outlets. The 5-amp fuse is for the PS 15’s circuitry. A 5-amp SDFB in the power cord limits the maximum load on the PS15 to 5 amps.

The P15 has a higher output fuse than input fuse because it stores power in the caps, then when called for has reserves of power rather than needing an instant current flow from the wall. I think!
