This room is what many of us dream about!!
Also very nice setup certainly!

What a beautiful and well thought out space.
Truly a system to aspire to!
Looks really good:)
General question- what background colour wash do other folks have?
I’m more of a warm orange type of person:)
Beautiful looking space. I am wondering about the mix on the left of Vicoustic diffusion and the right of Cinema Round absorption in the space. Had this been recommended by Vicoustic or by an acoustician? Also, it seems you’ve optimized the seating position for 2 listeners vs a central listener and side listener? I also see 2 different subwoofers in the back corners.
Thanks for your response
not to mention using wheels as a base for your main speakers…
Wilsons roll out of their crates on those wheels. Did you just get them or do you move them around?
Nice aesthetic. But, unless my eyes deceive me, no audiophile listens to music in that room. What self-respecting audiophile would have the sweet spot consist of the crack between two chair arms?
PS
I love the attention to detail in the kit and speaker placement.
I sit right between the arms of my chair. Is there another way? Lol.
Saves trips to the bathroom, I suppose – just toss a bucket under there.
I am guessing the speakers are in one place for movies, and another for serious music time.
Yep. Hence the wheels on the speakers.
Great room…well thought out.
the room is very artfully pleasing…
i might suggest the next time you are considering to upgrade something (when the fever is too strong to ignore…) …maybe start experimenting with anti-vibration & dampening tweaks within the “racks” and maybe under the boards on the bottom/floor of your racks…
you might be pleasantly surprised on improved everything - and, at a modest price…
just saying…
about the sitting arrangement…in a comical way…i can imagine the need only if you have (most of a) stick up your arse … and you have to sit somewhere…
posted this in the Stellar Phono thread, but might as well immortalize it here.
Latest iteration. I found a Myryad Integrated amp on craigslist about a month ago for a stupid low price, so I thought I’d give it a try. Sounds really good. I’ll probably move that down to my guitar/drum room and bring my trusty Audiolab 8000A integrated back up at some point, but it’s been fun to change things up.
The stellar phono preamp, sitting under the turntable, displaced all my record accessories. So I slapped together a little shelf to accommodate brushes, stylus cleaner, Uncle Milty Zerostat, SPP remote and the Step-Up Transformer for the TD-126’s Ortofon MC20 cart.
A place for everything and everything in its place, amiright?
Damn self isolation. I woke up this morning and moved my front 901’s to the rear and vice versa. Nothing improved/nothing worsened., Just bored.
Rejigged the other half of my lounge/listeningroom/study/electronics workbench, so that the desk etc wasn’t in my eyeline when sitting listening. Also means I can hook up all the old /spare bits of kit, or swap sources in and out, easily
Thanks to my son for the heavy lifting!
(Note the hat stand in the far corner - perfect for storing spare cables )
Spare kit just beyond the green curtains, which I often draw late at night, cutting off the “busy” half of the room altogether:)
@Baldy Thank you! It has been a long journey. I am still working through the final placement of everything, but it is sounding pretty sensational.
@DVass13 Thanks!
@RsZk Thanks. The 4 x white cinema round on the right will be replaced with DC2s once a new AC unit is installed above them (post COVID-19). I don’t want the tradesman damaging the DC2s. Yes the room acoustic design was done by the Vicoustic Projects Team.
The white chairs are not the primary seats for the system, I am waiting on delivery of the IMG Comfort ‘Divani’.
Yes I currently have two different subwoofers, they have been a carry over from two other now retired systems. The JL Audio F110 (left) for music and a Velodyne DD15 (right) for movies. Both are in the process of being replaced with two JL Audio F113s.
@aangen This room has been under some serious construction and it has not practical to remove the wheels, same goes for the centre channel. I have Stillpoints Ultra 5s for them (sitting in the hifi rack bottom left) waiting to be installed.

Now:
I think being swallowed up by the music is what we are all after.
Great, it can’t be better. Buy these armchairs, but no snacks with lots of fat and salt. It’s very unhealthy, I prefer milk.
