System Photos!

Could you please list your equipment. Beautiful.

Why do you have an additional, smaller pair of speakers behind and outside the larger ones? They appear to be connected by cables. What purpose do they serve?

Thanks,
Chris V

the smaller box is just a ribbon tweeter with a highpass filter, crossed at 10khz…

That’s a sharp system! The Stellar in all black is super stealthy, I like it.

What speakers are those?

I meant the smaller, stand-mounted ones closer to the wall/corner.

those are totally independent from the other system, they’re hooked to the Audio Alchemy electronics (white in center console) and mainly used by my wife, for listening to her cd’s and karaoke

I have a similar setup with a small set of Monitor bookshelf speakers for L-R front channel TV use sitting on top of the floor standing stereo speakers. It works pretty good.

those are custom built for me by a friend. We used the Accuton CEL drivers line, their more expensive drivers.

but I’ve used the Stellar M700’s with my Magico S7 with good result

They look brilliant - definitely would not have guessed they were custom built with how professional the fit and finish is on them.

How do these compare against the S7s?

S7 is still better, as it should. it is far more resolving. The design of the speaker is closer to Von Schweikert VR 55, but we used better drivers and went with dual passive radiators in the back instead of going with built in amp for the subs. We might
eventually upgrade to Accuton diamond tweeters and Duelund capacitors.

They were built by Terry Flood of TFlo Acoustics. He is a retired speaker driver distributor and been building custom speakers on the side. Finish is ok, although not as perfect as the big guys. I think he bring speaker boxes to a local car paint shop.

That’s funny

Thanks

Can anyone suggest a nice pair of Kef speakers that might go between $2K and $3K Used?

Same for B & W…

Thanks

I bet PS Audio marketing would love to see a photo of that.

I have KEF 201/2 if you can find them in nice shape they are very good. Stereophile class A in the past.

They look like they may be ribbon tweeter or supertweeters
