My little Cave. Greetings from Brazil

Wow! What a great looking (and I guess sounding) room.
I’m so amazed that all these places exist all over the world. What a wonder that we can meet here and share these places of pleasure.
Pass XP-22
Bought is used. After my speakers the second most expensive piece of gear I own.
Worth every penny. Moved there from NAD, then AVM, then Ayre.
I tried the DSD direct to the active ATC but the high frequency hiss drives me nuts. Dead quiet with the Pass.
There’s a great review with a comparison to the BHK: https://www.stereophile.com/content/pass-laboratories-xp-22-line-preamplifier
Bom dia JB, love the room and the Dynaudios are just amazing speakers.
And then we throw beads at the photos?
Nossa Junior, isso ai ficou otimo mesmo. Parabens cara!
Playing around with some MBL 120’s instead of my normal Maggie 20.7’s. 1st night of listening was a treat. Will have @aangen and some other audiofools over to see what they think of the comparison. The MBL’s go down to 35Hz in my room so the crossovers on the Rel Carbon Ltd subs are only up two clicks at 34.5 Hz.
Any other MBL owners out there?
Stunning! Thanks for sharing!
Amazing space!
can you run down a component list (sorry if I’ve missed this elsewhere) I can make out the REF 6 and the speakers but not much else…besides the view
Best,

PS Audio (P15, BHK 300 Amps, DS Dac, Stellar Phono Preamp), Auralic G1 streamer, Baetis Prodigy Server with Roon Rega P8 TT, Hana ML cart, Shunyata Sigma or Alpha NR Cables, MG Audio Speaker Cables and Interconnects. Symposium Osiris Rack on order and arriving soon. Blessed to listen to this gear.
You are correct on the AR Ref 6 as preamp
Audio Research Preamps & BHK300’s, terrific match.
Is that 35W and the UofM campus? Nice view.
Washington Ave Bridge. U of M West Bank facind south east Building butts up against 35w
Matt has left me alone with this system and this view. The moon is just rising above the windows. These MBL speakers are a whole other thang. And all I have to do is listen to whatever I want. Yikes.
Oh you pampered audiophile. Pass the Chee-its.
Chas
When I first got here the MBL’s were far apart and they reminded me of the Maggie 20.7 speakers. I moved them closer together and now they remind me of my Wilsons. I am stunned by the amount of clean bass these little fellas can dish out.
I am so glad I am not a speaker manufacturer.
Hi Al,
“Amount of clean bass”, does this mean they have a good synergy with Matt’s subs?
Chas
I turned his subs off.
Thanks to friends for the complimentary comments!
Here in Brazil it is a little more complicated and time consuming to put together a good set, but with caution and parsimony we get there!
Hugs to everyone!
