System Photos!

Indeed, I looked at those, but my monitors are positioned high enough so the iso-pucks are my preference.

They released the Aperta Sub, which are 4 ISO Pucks in a ring, which seem to be a very attractive solution to support a sub, improve the quality and prevent boom at the neighbors. But it is too big for the KEF KC62 I fancy to extend the monitors in the bass region. So separate ISO-Pucks are the best solution there too. Perhaps ISO-Acoustic will consider making a smaller version of the Aperta Sub.

You got a KC62? How do you like it? I’ve got a little-bitty KEF cube and was contemplating whether it’s “enough”. Probably, given my room size, but I’d love to hear your impressions on the new one.

Unfortunately not yet, but I think it is a mighty little subwoofer full of innovative technology.

Where I believe there is no better substitute for cubic inch than more cubic inch. I also live with the fact that I have very limited space and that a large subwoofer will never be approved by the interior designer who happens to be my wife.

The unicore balanced compact force cancelling twin driver design looks very impressive and promising.

The KEF has a close to the wall / confined space setting and LFE input that allows DIRAC in my NAD 568 toe manage the integration of the subwoofer in the system. I’ll let you know when I was able to put the budget aside.

I don’t want need massive SPL, the bass extension is what I am looking for.

Very nice! What light is that above your TT?
Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, I hear you. I want to FEEL those Taurus pedals on Trick of the Tail. Not in a “shake the house” sense, but in my chest. Fortunately I’m in a very small room so my 8” worth of sub is mostly suitable. And the LS50 projects a lot more than the specs would suggest. It’s all good. Everything I own now is so many light years ahead of what I had before it’s easy to lose perspective.

For my birthday I ordered myself one of those new iFi Zen Stream boxes. Not as fancy as the Bluesound node I had before, but it will pass through DSD, so it should close the loop on what I’m missing. Happy birthday to me!

That happened to me on a Living Stereo SACD. No clue what happened and I never got the money back. Tried to repurchase from another seller and the price was double.

Thanks!

Hi Umiami. I got a kc62 sub.
It’s paired with LS 50 meta in a 250 sq feet room. It’s working well and sub’s volume is in noon position.
The only thing that disappointed me is it’s not entering sleep mode when hooked up via speaker level input. When hooked up via RCA interconnects, it’s entering sleep mode with no problem after 15 minutes without signal.
I read in KEF forum that other people encountered issues with not coming out of sleep mode when playing music. I didn’t experienced that problem

I added some Isoacoustics products: Orea under Matrix, Lumin U1 power supply, Farad, Nucleus+ and 1 Sbooster.
Zazen 2 under Holo May KTE power supply, Thorens TD 160 B Mk2 from my father (with SME ‘arm and Ortofon cartridge - amazing how close it gets to digital !), and zazen1 under the rest (2 more Sboosters, router, hard drive).

Upgrade of the usb cable to ChordMusic (it beats the Shunyata Omega in my system), ww platinum Electra to P20, RAL from Matrix to Holo and added the Farad.

Upgrade from DMP to PST and DSD to Holo May KTE. Those made the biggest difference, especially the amazing Holo.

One of the best and cheapest upgrades was adding 4 binary diffusers and 3 abfusers from Addictive Sounds. Much bigger soundstage as a result ! Thank you @Paul for the excellent advice in your reference book, that I purchased along with the PST.

It never stops

Finally treated my listening room:

Also added Apherion supertweeter, which I think complement the Cube Nenuphar very well, crossover set at 12khz.

Not bad Al, looks fabulous!!! I really like it.
I would put the cage around the animal instead
of the equipment though.

The speakers kinda remind me of these characters.

Wow! Impressive would be an understatement. Is it an artifact of the photo or is the left speaker about 2" or 3" closer than the right one?

Serious speakers there.
