Looks like stained oak…

There is a lot of love in that setup! Very nice in deed.
I think the wood is unfinished walnut…

I think it’s walnut. Most likely one of the black species.

Love those RELs. Same as I have.

Impressive, my only question, when you are on sitting on the couch and the sides coming flying in, is it too close? Obviously, you have a very impressive set up so not a knock at all. just a question.

It’s definitely not ideal, but you simply have to back off these speakers a bit in volume and also calibrate them properly (consider the distance in the setup and also DIRAC makes a lot of difference). I use the center and surrounds exclusively for movies and actually find the spatial reproduction quite pleasing.

How is the turntable shelf mounted? Can’t tell from the pic.

Hi Alex, you really have a nice setup with Piega Coax speakers in both 2 channel and 5 channel surround. I’m sure it’s sounds amazingly good :grinning: I’m using Roon and streaming Qobuz from a Intel Nuc today into my MKI dac with the bridge, and thinking maybe also to go for Sonore OpticalRendu as streamer together with the MKII. I live in Norway and the closest Sonore distributor is located in Sweden but see from the website that the OpticalRendu in not available. Where did you purchase your unit?I suppose I also need a good power supply, media converter, fiber cable and a good USB cable to get the best SQ from the streamer?

Thanks @eral63. I am still in the early stages of testing my MKII, but so far I am very excited as it gets better every day.

I bought my opticalRendu in early 2020. The problem with the bad availablity of the opticalRendu right now is the shortage of the required parts. I got my opticalRendu through Small Green Computer together with the opticalModule. I think they currently still have both versions of the opticalRendu available (light & standard), where light is technically the same as the standard unit, but limited to use with Roon only. Simply drop the guys a message and they will help you. As power supply, I selected the Sbooster BOTW P&P ECO 5V–6V MKII and the USB cable is the Curious Evolved. For me, the perfect combination. I ordered the fibre cable in my required length through a local network cable reseller.

Hang in there…all PS Audio products needs long burn-in time and specially the DAC. When I bought the BHK pre it sounded thin and analytic out of the box, but after 2-300 hours it started to shine :grinning: I will send a mail to Small Green Computer and ask them about the delivery situation. Appreciate you feedback…and continue to listen to some great music.
