Very cool!
Speaking of hero! Happy Cake Day Luca!
Happy Cake Day Luka!!!
Thank you, my friends. I learned a lot from you, something precious to be a member of this crazy band!
I have the MK2 version. It is indispensable in my opinion.
I occasionally run previously cleaned records thru a Quick cycle to eliminate the static that appears over time due to the very low humidity of winter.
As if we need more to buy for this hobby but I have one of these Destat III’s and it is the second best investment after your degritter! I use mine for LP’s, CD’s, and equipment to eliminate static shocks. It looks like a cheap plastic curling stone but it is a worthy investment and it’s @aangen approved!
Also works great on tonearm’s.
Just clicked your link. Looks nice. Costs $329; roughly 10 rekids. What, am I made of money??? You kids!
Yes the cost of a nice fuse. lol
But it does make your vinyl sound better imo. Crazy stuff but I think you will love it!
And also hair loss.
It doesn’t fix that though I have not tried yet!
RE: Degritter and increased LP static there’s a note in the excellent manual that suggests not “over drying” and I’ve found keeping the drying time to just what’s necessary results in very low static cling when placing in the inner sleeve.
What’s different, speakers?
yep, I got rid of my Klipsch Forte IV’s (regretfully) and brought in some Dynaudio Heritage Specials (seen in this post System Photos! - #9087 by terzinator). They sounded great but I must be a big-speaker guy. (Or a horn guy or a Klipsch guy or something.) So I sold the HS’s and hunted down some Cornwall IV’s not too far away from me.
They’re big, but I love em. I don’t know how long I’ll keep 'em, but it’s a fun experiment. My girlfriend thinks they’re hilarious.
I think maybe Heresy IV’s might be the Goldilocks solution.
that’s the stuff
With Kevin included in the deal
He’s saying these are his small speakers, isn’t he?
Those were at axpona a couple years ago.
