System Photos!

Nice setup! But are you sure to shock the whole shelf with the sub?

My remarkable eagle-eye helicopter reconnaissance pilot observation skills tell me, one girl dog and one boy dog. And bloody big at that!

As a matter of fact, there are 3 of them (betcha not see that comin). 2 male German Shepards, and 1 female Bernese. Yes, they are big. And lovely.

Indeed, Ian has been a lifetime supporter of our products and a good friend.

That’s my biggest fear with my LS50s. Such big, beautiful targets…

Yeah. And for a Magico Q or M series speaker the only repair option is a return to factory, wherever you happen to live in the world.

I thought it might but I’ve been on the look out for any vibration issues and haven’t detected any so far.

No I cannot. It does NOT mess with imaging at all. My system images amazingly! I consistently get blown away with recordings that sound great and let down with recordings that do not sound great!
Very revealing! The speakers do disappear, depending on the recording of course!

Cool. Rule of thumb query only. I’m not familiar with Focal speakers. Glad they work well in your application.

Oooh. The KEFs are quite good (at least the last time I heard a pair).

Don’t Magico provide recone kits? Cone replacement is a simple matter on professional grade gear. Perhaps Magico don’t make their drivers?

Love KEF. Great sound. Nicely balanced. Kudos to you! Looks great too.

Morel make the drivers in Magico S-series, Magico make the drivers in Q and M series. Recone kits aren’t available. No point anyway because you can’t get the drivers out of M/Q without special tooling, which is only available at the factory. You can get the drivers out of S-series. Morel won’t repair/recone any driver they make with a Magico serial number. They also won’t sell you a driver that goes in a Magico speaker.

From my experience the influence of stuff between speakers on acoustics is overrated, vs. having your system in the middle (and what bad things that can do to SQ) is underrated.

Generally yes, but I’m not sure…I think the probable decision for inferior cabling in case of long runs from a side placement of the gear compared to a central placement with better cabling can have more disadvantages than the central placement.

Even more if the central placement is not done close to the wall but with some distance and if the side placement catches a room node point, as well.

Focals are just incredible. I’m extremely happy with the Aria 948 model I have. What’s great is I’ve seen lots of people on this thread with Focals as well! After reading what you said I am curious now if I’d get a different/better sound if I were to move the speakers further from the wall though.

Guess I’ll throw in my two cents…My HT/Stereo setup.

PS Audio SGCD and S300 driving Aperion Verus II Grand Towers and 2 HSU subs for stereo. Denon 4300 AVR handles HT surrounds while PS Audio units handle F/C/R Aperion speakers. I’ve been playing with the placement of the towers and have made good progress in getting reasonable imaging lately.
