Thank You James!

I just wanted to give a big shout out to James for recommending that I move up from the 300 to the 700 mono blocks! After several hundred hours on these amps they have really settled down! The sound created by these amps through my Schitt Yiggy and out to my Revel Performa 206s is truly amazing! Instrumental size,
space, depth and width. Huge sound stage!

Thank you,
Jeff

Thanks for letting us know. The M700 is soooo much better than the 300. It’s rare we can reliably engineer 3 distinct price point amplifiers, each excellent on their own, but then clear successors above them. The Stellar series really does that.

The 700s are truly special. I consider them a timeless classic like the LS50. Just exceptional.

So glad you’re liking them! Like Paul said, the S300 is a good amp, no arguing that. But the M700s? Truly exceptional.

I’ll be posting my own “thank you, James” thread myself soon. I, too, was trying to decide between a new S300 for my system or a pair of used M700s and he not only made it easy to choose the 700s, he also made it possible for me to get a new pair when I didn’t think that would be even close to being economically feasible. I would have posted already except my audition period has been interrupted by a vacation on the gulf shore of Texas, so it has to wait until I get home in a few days. My pair had about 150 hours on them by the time I had to shut it all down and leave for Texas, and they were so good, I can’t wait to get back to them.

I’m so lucky to be part of “the family”. Everyone who hears my system, which is far from being optimized in its current location, their jaws just drop. You guys make great stuff and are great people. Just genuinely good folks.

Anybody heard anything, good or bad, about the Vanguard DA 2125 class D amp, made by the DiVinci Group? Paul’s video about class D amps has me interested.

Quizzically,
