I use a Synology NAS 214Play + NAD M50 Steamer feeding a PS Audio PW DAC II and it works brilliantly, never crashed, rock solid includes Tidal included etc etc.
If Bridge II is like/based on a NAD Blusound card, I would sell the NAD M50.

Just an Idea to PS Audio.
The bridge II is definitly not based on NAD MDC DD-BluOS Module.
We are getting closer - mid August now. Sorry itâs slipping, but we have inventory now and just lining up instructional videos, specs, literature etc.

Great news. And good documentation is important, especially for newbies and the non tech savvy. I recall when installing bridge1, I removed the SD card after updating the firmware because oddly, the instructions didn't specify it had to stay there to display album covers. I thought I had a problem with my PWDAC and got the explanation only after calling PS Audio.
Can/should âBridge Iâ owners pre-order the âBridge IIâ?
Is Roon a server software program âsimilarâ in nature to JRiver MC? I think I read Paul as saying Roon does provide a superior method for searching/selecting music files, but it does not improve sound quality over other servers such as JRiverâŠ?
Roon currently requires a direct connection (e.g., USB) and does not work with the Bridge. I believe PSA is waiting for Roon to release some code that would need to be installed on the Bridge itself and it is not clear whether that will be possible due to memory space limitations.
Roon does bypass the audio engine in the computer itâs being hosted on and has some sonic advantages, though on my Mac Mini souped up server Bit Perfect sounded better. The engineers at Roon are working on this issue. Roon certainly sounds better than most anything else.

Me as well, but don't give up hope. We will launch BII without knowing if we can add Roon and you can give up USB. Nothing changes in that respect. The only difference is Roon has a wonderful user experience in selecting music, existing programs like Mconnect aren't as cool - but functionally they are identical. And sound wise they are identical.
Bridge II is every bit the miracle we had hoped for, it is just that without Roon, and a computer to run it on, the experience of selecting music isnât quite as good.
But, that doesnât mean Roon wonât be added later. Remember, the Bridge II can be updated in the field easily enough and once Roon releases actual code, weâll do our best to rearrange bits to accommodate.
Hi Paul,
Jriver works perfectly on Mac mini - and is DLNA compatible - to run B1. Why it should be different with BII ? What Roon will bring better than this ?
I remember also i was able to use Synology DS Audio software to run BI directly with the NAS without a computer. Soundwise it was great but the IPDA UI was crap.
