Very excited with modest system

I’m still extremely excited with my audio system. I can’t afford MBL, Gryphon, Stealth etc. No Powerzone or Valkyra cables but I’m still excited after years with my little system. I’m sure there are many like me with smaller systems with much satisfaction. I am lucky enough to have a room(cave) of which is dedicated to my system. I have a nice headphone setup to keep me going when my wife is sleeping or watching TV. I feel to be very lucky and grateful even in crazy and expensive times.

Excellent!

Well put and you are not alone in being happy and grateful to have a relatively modest but still satisfying system.

I really enjoy reading in the various threads about often very expensive and sometimes exotic audio equipment. It reminds me about when I was much younger and reading about cars I knew I would never be able to afford but it never detracted from my interest in those cars and the technology/performance they represented.

I love listening to my modest mostly used little system. I can’t afford those brands either but I do get to spend a lot of my time listening to what I do have. Making small gains every month or two and finding new music keeps it fun for me.

My little system isn’t that little. I just recently upgraded my Audio Art Cable Statement cables to Revelation Audio Labs cables everywhere except for my ac cable setup which is Neotech NEP-3200 and NEP-3001 mk3 cables with Furutech FI-50 NCF connectors on all of the cables. I have 5 cables of each.

Jumping in late, but this is an awesome discussion! I’m still debating the same thing—a dedicated physical meter like the Radioshack classic (or the newer alternatives) always feels more trustworthy for critical room analysis. But for basic level setting, it’s tough to beat the convenience of a good, calibrated phone app. Thanks for all the specific model recommendations, super helpful!
