The new website is really messed up for me, first it can’t access it unless I’m logged in. What’s with that? No outsiders allowed? Second, I had to reset my password to get in, I think that was standard fare for most or all so I won’t belabor that point. Third, when I log it it shows my proper username (pmotz) at the top right of the page, but down on the left side by the musical note it says I’m logged in as “largenmt”, who the hell is largenmt? I noticed there is a way to look up members, well “pmotz” is a new member with no posts and “largenmt” is an older member with quite a few posts, actually all of my posts. All of my posts that is since the last time the website lost me and I had to be recreated … for the third time. Seems like I’m a marked member, website change coming? Let’s mess with THIS guy! Not sure I like the new format either, completely different feel and will take a while to get used to. Sorry for the negatives, you really threw me for a loop with this change. Seems like a few community leaders had some issues too, saw a few with (0) after their name, and I haven’t found recent posts from them. Time to get lost …
I fixed your name problem and apologize. It’s fairly easy to go into your profile and change the display name if we got it wrong.
Sorry for the confusion.

Same thing happened to me. I discovered it last Friday after the PS Audio website went back up and after PS Audio closed. Besides everything you mentioned above, I was (and still am) worried that my personal information (e-mail, address, CC #, etc) was linked to another PS Audio member and not safe. This is especiially is upsetting and worrisome to me at this time shortly after our family experienced identity theft which has now been sent to a Fraud Unit of the bank involved. Regarding PS Audio, I have my correct user name back but over 200 of my posts are missing. Of more importance is that my registered gear still under warrante has vanished from the PS. Audio website. The people at PS Audio state that it will all come back and to have patience, but I haven't seen that data come to be yet. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I have posted elsewhere about it. Good luck.
It may be easy to change my name but it appeared I was in there twice once under my old name but as a new member and as the new name with all my old posts. I had no idea where the new name came from and why. I wasn’t going to change anything until I knew what happened. Now that it has been changed it looks like my old posts are connected back to my old name, thank you. However, largenmt still exists with two posts, was this someone else’s name or did the system create it just for me? I’ll get back to you on whether I warm up to the new web site.

When the site first came up people had all sorts of things as names. Some even had complete sentences. I assume there was a column mismatch when merging databases (or perhaps a use of uninitialized memory.) It seems that it’s quite possible for multiple posters names to show the same (wrong) thing. All of your information is tied to your PS Audio account database record not to the displayed name, so the other names displayed as “largenmt” will change when those posters (or PS Audio) corrects their names, but their information won’t be confused with yours.
