I rearranged my system and had the PST unplugged for a while and moved it around the room a bit. After hooking everything back up the first disc I played (admittedly, it was two days later) was something new to me, Kate Bush “Before the Dawn” so didn’t know what to expect. Well, klangy, bangy industrial is what I got. That’s not Kate Bush thought I. Checked the connections and changed the I2S cable to no avail. Power cycled and it was better, but it seemed like it took five to ten minutes for the sound to really get back to where it should be. The PST had been in standby prior to this so it should have been at least warm. Static is one thing, but what generated the noises I heard is a real mystery. I sure hope PS Audio is working on a firmware update to correct the remaining quirks.
Had the hissing veil today. PST and Venus 15th.
Had the same issue while back, had to power cycle the PST which fixed the static.
