Putting DS mk2 Bluesky FPGA and 3.2.2 with Bacch to the test. Indeed it makes Bacch-dSP better by tenfold.
Linden,
Canât seem to find this one on Qobuz.
Sorry, thatâs CD. I also played my original Walter Carlosâ Switched-On Bach LP from '68. Theyâre virtually indistinguishable as far as spatiality goes. If one listened extremely close, you could tell the LP due to a bit of surface noise between tracks.
No worries!
Oh! wait a minute⌠Iâm from New Jersey so âfuhgeddabouditâ
Actually, Tidal shows very, very little from Walter or Wendy Carlos.
FYI/ We added a ton of the CES âBACCH Demo Tracksâ tonight.
Enjoy!
What does that mean?
I think Edgar has a folder called âbinaural audioâ with ten pieces in AIF 44K that he has handy in Apple Music for use in setting up systems. At least that is how my these files wound up on my new Mac Mini M4 earlier this week.
Did you have your Edgar call? Is your new POWERFUL Mac Mini in service yet?
Yup, 2018 Mac Mini i5 has been replaced with a 2024 Mac Mini M4 24GB 10G. It is cool and silent. No more fan noise after a couple hours of playback. Is a very solid device. Though Apple still does not support True ATMOS passthrough over HDMI. So it is still âjustâ a âtwo trickâ BACCH4Mac Active Crossover Stereo and Dolby Reference Player ATMOS (music not video) over USB-C to my Audient Oria machine. No surprises though. I still have my Nvidia Shield for movies. Edgar took an interest in my ATMOS set up too. Provided him with some consulting on how to extract ATMOS data from Blurays for processing on a server. Fun.
Not for the meek. One hell of a ride.
Dark, Dark in the daytime.
The first two songs didnât do much for me. But âA Fragile Thingâ grabbed my attention. From then on whoo boy!
This new EP from Robin Guthrie may soothe you:
If you let Roon Radio take over after, it gets kind of squirrely.
It amuses me, I am listening to this very odd music, so I look at it on Roon. From the picture I expected Spy Music.
You look at this and tell me what you might expect. Then listen to the track.
Fun.
Re Moritz von Oswald⌠I guess he does look a bit posh⌠Oh wait, he actually is⌠as he is a great-great-grandson of Otto von Bismarck, aka, the Imperial Chancellor of the German Empire!
Here are some of my favourite more recents productions of his family, er, descendent:
I did read his bio. He has been involved in some of my favorite music. Interesting.
