I think Iâd like this more if I understood the language of the singer. Otherwise the music kept my interest through the whole album.
I think this has the only version of âSend in the Clownsâ that doesnât make me want to run away screaming.
Of course, as I hate the song, I havenât heard many versions without running away screaming. So - never mind as far as it being any sort of âbestâ version. I wouldnât know ; )
Paul had a pretty popular Post the other day about Burn In.
The true hazard of burn in: Youâre so into what youâre listening to, you forget dinner is on the grill.
Good call, Burning Rods.
Wow, thank you for that detailed comment. I may explore getting one myself.
I donât know exactly where you are, but do you ever go to Twist and Shout on Colfax in Denver? They usually have a pretty good selection of used l.p.s and cds.
Havenât been there - will check it out next time Iâm down there. Iâm in Boulder - there are some goodâuns around here.
Absolute Vinyl was one, although I understand they moved to Longmont.
I was listening to my old Sheffield DtoD of James Newton Howard & Friends (Toto Band Members I believe - Jeff Pocoro on Drums for sure). Ya hereâs the Story :
Back in '85 when I paid off my Dual CS515/Ortofon OM10 - yuck Cartridge, Iâd brought the TT back to my Dealer to setup the VTA/Cartridge/Counterweight and they left the âTest LPâ on the Table, boxed it back up and I didnât know when I picked it upâŚThank you Dealer for the introduction to Quality Vinyl. The 96/24 WAV files from this finally sound as good as they are suppose to via the DS Sr.
New on Qobuz. 24/88.2. I only recognized a couple of the composers. The pieces are light, melodious, and very easy to listen to. Sound quality is very good. A welcome break in the Bach Partita investigations.
