This album is one of my favourites. Very crisp playing by Manze.
Finally got this one on vinyl. (Had on cassette back in the day, and couldn’t fit the whole album on one tape.) Three sides. Fourth is blank. Such a great live, direct-to-two-track-digital-master recording.

Spinning vinyl this morning. Darn it sounds good. I see why some get all snobby about vinyl playback. My system has improved since I last had vinyl playback, and it shows.

Khruangbin, “Con Todo El Mundo” (2018). I had not heard of Khruangbin until I read today that Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio tapped Khruangbin to open some of his upcoming solo shows. Of the 35 fan reviews on Amazon of “Con Todo El Mundo,” 33 are five stars and two are three stars. Worth a listen if this Amazon editorial review sounds interesting to you: “A vibe-synchronous soul-unit travelling the planet, honing their craft, absorbing the sights, sounds and feels from cultures across the globe, processing them through the Khruangbin filter and gifting the result…with all the world.”

Seemingly out of nowhere with two live albums. Her first studio album is due out this May. If you like London Grammer or Florence or even Dido, you’ll like Freya.
