Will do tomorrow… Late at this side of the pond. Going to soak in the bath and then get some sleep…
Looks like a great compilation!
I have a few of them, and they’re awesome both for the tunes and the manic NY Radio patter between tracks.
I have been fortunate to see her in concert a couple of times.
“Nick of Time” tour and an earlier album tour, which I can’t remember now, too long ago… She was excellent both times.
How is the phono stage coming along, sound-wise …
Anyway, time to go now it’s late here.
It’s awesome, and done. - going to Production. We have to ping Paul this week to see where it is in the cue/how long before we can expect delivery.
Been a great weekend, nice dinner and cocktails with my wife, picked out tile for an upcoming renovation, small repairs around the house, and LOTS of music. Thanks for putting up with my posts. This place has exploded with great music. Keep em comin! Stay well y’all.
just put this on. Haven’t listened to it in YEARS. Really nice Columbia pressing.
cover kinda cracks me up. “Make him meaner.”
.
Started a new journey today. Had never listened to them before:
Spyro Gyra - The Deep End
What a phenomenal recording.
@chrisj1948, when I saw your Schmelzer post, I grabbed this one off my shelf. Another great one, with usual ECM quality sonics.
I’d like to thank the poster of this one on here. Can’t remember who and too lazy to scroll back through 100+ posts. Picked it up at a local CD shop today and it’s a lot of fun. Listened twice today already.
Thanks for the reminder. When I hear “Think,” I see Aretha in her waitress outfit and pink bedroom slippers, a la Blues Brothers movie. https://www.rollingstone.com/movies/movie-news/flashback-see-aretha-franklins-show-stealing-scene-in-the-blues-brothers-712456/
Yep. IMO, one of the great live recordings of all time.
Along with “Ventures Live '65” …
Love Shuggy!!!
