See y’all tomorrow night. Some house work, installing new smoke and CO detectors, then some furniture shopping. I know it’s obvious, but I just love old country music.
His death was discussed quite nicely on NPR.
It’s a keeper…
Roon Radio - Paul Taylor - keeping it on track for hours…
Roon Radio - Warren Hiil - still keeping it real w/ smooth jazz after half a day.
A little late for Easter but still sounds good in this 1995 vintage recording - -

Latest from Ms. Cash. Never disappointed with her voice, songwriting and great musicians. Another winner from a long recognized master of this art form. A strong case for genetics influencing talent. We miss you Johnny.
Roy Harper’s latest from 2013. Discovered him as the lyricist for David Gilmour’s first solo album on the cut Short and Sweet. What a poetic fellow largely unknown but shouldn’t be. Really great folk music with some twists.
I’m not much for schmaltzy female vocal jazz that’s more easy listening than challenging, but I’m just finishing a listen to the new Tierney Sutton Band CD and it’s impressive.
@jazzophile - a very good listen and thanks for sharing. As much as I love smooth jazz and more schmaltzy female jazz singers like Lindsey Webster, Tierney and her band is a very good listen.
Abdullah Ibrahim’s The Balance. Great South African vibe to it. NPR did a review on June 30 Weekend Edition and interview. BTW congratulations to Mr. Ibrahim’s award as a Jazz Master.
Thana Alexa “Ode to Heroes” . . … This is a very nice debut album by a beautiful singer. Her voice and vocal nimbleness reminds me of Monday Michiru.
