The Japanese Blu-Ray Audio disc of âSomethinâ Elseâ by Cannonball Adderley, the 24/192 transfer. This disc wonât play in the DMP so itâs in my Oppo UDP-205. Man oh man this sounds so so good.
Tommy Flanagan Trio âConfirmationâ Enja/Solid Records Japan CD
I found Somethinâ Else on a dual disc years agoâ96/24 on one side and 192/24 on the other. I ripped both to hard drive. Itâs the only version I have but it does sound very good to me. I wonder if the Blu-Ray used the same source files. Great album.
Maybe, but I think that this Japanese one uses new transfers from Bernie Grundman, he seems to have been doing a lot of tranfers in Japan for Universal. This one sounds really good to me on my system.
I love this release. Wish there were more. The film is great as well.
