You are more than likely right. I’m listening to Van Halen 1984 which I haven’t listened to since it was new. There is a lot more stuff on this recording than I think we could resolve and hear when it was new. At least with the equipment I had at the time.
Thanks

I really enjoy this album (Red Book CD is what I have). The songs are well crafted and it has superior sonics, in my opinion. I love the first 15-30 seconds of “Anna Begins” in particular. Great stuff/underrated, I think. Don’t know that they released another album that approaches this one’s “greatnesss”.
Cheers.
That looks good! I’ll look into that.

Be-boppin’ bari!

Recorded at 2am on - decent but not stellar recording.
Techincal prowess is something but it’s the lesser of the things that matter.

I’ve got @RonP to thank for this. I’m enjoying the openness of my new setup. The big bass is warm and full.
Speakers are just to the right and left…big. BHK 250 bottom right. DSD above the BHK (display is off, no more complaining about album art), P20 (of-course) in the middle, room for the BHK 300 on the left, and above the empty amp spot, a Music Hall integrated driving outside speakers.
I updated power cords too. I picked up some AC5s for a good price. Who knows what the reason…but damn!
Nice looking setup.
This was commissioned by the CSO and is a fine piece.

I was fortunate to first hear it preformed live, and it involves the most bizarre plethora of percussion instruments. It was being used (in full) for a ballet by the Canadian choreographer Aszure Barton.

A really nice record. Wish it wasn’t a DR of 6.

From the great compilation, Love-God-Murder.
