One of a kind performance
I have so many interpretations of the alpine symphony (love it), still searching for my favorite. This new one (live) is a strong candidate!
For those who like modern cello music (8tet).
Very good recording quality. Fredrick de Jong (recording/mastering engineer) is someone to remember. Will try to get all his recordings.

If those who only listen to digital want to get an impression (from this digital recording compared to most other digital recordings) how about good analog (especially from an analog recording) usually sounds compared to digital, take this (or most other Stockfisch) as a rough example. The palpability and airy 3D room ambiance is special. It’s not a matter of format, but recording here, but if one compares identically mastered vinyl with SACD from the same analog recording, differences (on very good players) are similar like this albums recording character (not in tonality but in ambiance) compared to other, comparably flat and pin point sounding ones.
This is just an attempt to give an impression;-)
