I don’t have Presto’s page pulled up on my desktop anymore, but I think it listed both pianists, making me think it was probably a combination of at least a couple of previous albums.

Yes, nice music. And here’s another for just the peace side of things:

Frankly, I don’t care what Bouska used as a title for her album. I just very much like the music she selected and find her performances quite engaging. Perhaps she should have called it “My solace during isolation due to the pandemic.”

That’s on the album.

Sometimes a simple and unambiguous title helps. Here’s one. No confusion here.

I can’t think of an album with a more varied selection of music, from Bach to Jobim and MMA’s own compositions. Heard them play it all, and more, and it was a lot of fun.

And now for something totally different…

Randomly playing stuff in my local library, discovering old stuff

And now Nathan playing his own cadenza (which you don’t hear at all nowadays)

I always thought that Piazzolla isn’t appreciated enough in North America or Europe. Because he did tango, he somehow isn’t a serious composer. Ha!

If I got stuck on a desert island, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons would be the absolute last of my choices—maybe not even on any list, and that’s harsh coming from a violinist—but P’s Cuatro estaciònes porteñas, a takeoff on Vivaldi, would be near the top.

Give it a listen if you can. I own a few other recordings, this one has the right tango energy and tempo I feel.

Playing it right now on Idagio. Heavenly!

This is the only version of the Four Seasons that hasn’t worn out its welcome in our home. Somehow the arrangements and new instrumentation manage to overcome overexposure ennui.

New Widmann cadenza for the Beethoven violin concerto!!! Recorded in DSD256 and available on native DSD. How wonderful to have a modern cadenza. Am tired of the same Joachim cadenza over and over access over again. Last innovative guy was Ricci who wrote his own

This is a hot normal record. Fantastic music for those who like guitar concertos and an extremely nice , transparent AAA sound and only available as LP!

Starts from 5$ in NM condition. One of the best non audiophile records in the combination of music and also sound.
