Which Zappa disc are you currently spinning?

Cool … my first FZ show was 10.31.1980 at the Palladium in NYC.

According to a leading Zappa scholar, Freak Out!, released in June 1966, “does seem to have been the first double-LP debut album in rock music.” Charles Ulrich, The Big Note: A Guide to the Recordings of Frank Zappa 165 (2018) (emphasis in the original).

listening to the 1984? mix with overdubs by Chad Wackerman on drums and Arthur Barrow on bass released on Ryko. Lumpy Gravy, as far as I know, is the original mix…

Have you heard the WOIIFTM mono mix on “The Lumpy Money Project”? That one, to me, is the go-to mix for WOIIFTM. A good overview of the various mixes appears here.

Yes, I need to give the mono mix another spin. Thanks for the suggestion!!! I want to buy the Uncle Meat box (Meat Light) next. Have you heard it?

Yes, it is excellent musically and sonically. Buy with confidence!
